Aged Care Entertainer, Greg Dimmock- Music and Bush Dancing

“A Swag Full of Instruments brings the vibrant sounds of the world to aged care facilities and retirement villages, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere for residents.

In fact, every visit gives residents a chance to experience live music firsthand — often for the first time in a long while.”

Unique aspects of the program:

“Our visits feature a diverse collection of instruments from around the globe, introducing residents to a rich tapestry of musical cultures.

As a result, residents can join in lively sing-alongs, playing percussive instruments provided on the day.

Because of this hands-on approach, residents experience the real therapeutic benefits of music, including improved social interaction, cognitive stimulation and emotional wellbeing.”

Greg’s bio

“Greg Dimmock has visited our aged care hostel many times over the past 12 years with his Aussie Christmas show, bush dancing, sing-alongs and an amazing variety of instruments from A Swag Full of Instruments.

Residents were especially fascinated by the variety of instruments, including the Didgeridoo, the Greek Bouzouki, the Chinese Hammer Dulcimer, the Spoons, the Classical Guitar, the Oud, the Acoustic Guitar and the Mandolin, to name a few. Additionally,

Greg sings a variety of old-time songs, with residents singing along throughout.”
